My friend Jackie came over today and we were going to work on our Key West book that we are making for a trip we took last year. But instead we started looking for some stamps that she needed for something she does for the workers in her office. She says:
“The people I work with LOVE when I make them a little something crafty on each monthly holiday……Do what you LOVE and Do it OFTEN”.
So as we made it I took a few pictures to share.
She wanted an easter egg and I thought of this new technique I learned in Orlando at the last Scrapbook Expo. At the booths were the venders sell products they sometimes do something called “Make and Takes”. I was at the Clear Scraps Booth and learned from the owner Susan (who by the way is terrific)…It is called Creative Palette – Mono-printing Plate .
We used CTMH white daisy card stock – 3 different stamp sets from Just to Say (only available in the Cricut Artfully Sent Collection), Hopping By and Framework Alphabet – CTMH Bakers Twine Neutral Metallic Assortment. The palette, acrylic paint – 7 neon colors and a gold metallic from Clear Scraps
Put drops of the acrylic paint on the palette then roll over it to spread.
We had cut the card stock to the size we needed for the objects we would be stamping on. Put the card stock on top of the wet paint and press down all around the paper. Lift it off and let it dry,
Stamp the paper (we used black StazOn ink) and then cut it out.
She then puts it on some candy for them. I had a candy bar and wrapped it with burlap and then put the tag on it just so you could see it finished.
