I learned to make a card using acrylic and paper at a class with Susan from Clear Scraps that I took in Seminole Florida after the Scrapbook Expo. I wanted to use this technique to make my Mom a Mother’s Day Card. I picked the CTMH brushed paper pack, I also used 4 different solid card stock colors which include pixie, canary, juniper and pear. The pear is the only one that did not come in that set. You can get it two ways – in the card stock combo pack adventure or a 24 pack. The glitter paper I used comes in a pack of 3 Green.
Cut your acrylic sheet 4 1/2” x 6”. Cut your main paper 6” x 6”.
Fold the paper about 2” at the top and rip along the top. Ink all edges of paper if desired. I used CTMH Pear. With the StazOn black ink I stamped right on the acrylic. The stamp set is from CTMH called Flowers for Mom. If you mess up on the acrylic you can always remove with finger nail polish remover.
I used glass effect gel that I had purchased from Clear Scraps to color the flowers. I also stamped flowers from the stamp set.and cut them out. I bent them a little so they do not lay flat on the page and in the center of the big one I added the glass effect. I cut strips of 1/2” wide to the length I thought looked best and cut a V at one end to give it a banner look. From the stamp set I used another stamp with the saying Happy Mother’s Day.
On the inside I put more flowers and another saying Because of you, I am me on one banner and used the little flower stamp for the other banner.
